It's summertime

Callie and Jack finished up the last week of school. They had field days and picnics. Time moves so quickly I can hardly keep up. I hope summer doesn't go that fast as it is my favorite time of the year.

Callie and her Kindergarten teacher. We loved her and so did Callie.

Callie and her girlfriends.

and, Callie and her boyfriends...

When Callie was finishing up preschool, I was so worried about her transition to kindergarten because none of her preschool friends were going on to the same school. I don't what I was thinking. She was a very popular little girl and made plenty of friends.

Jack and his teacher. We loved her as well and she had a heart for Jack.

Jack and his BFF (as they call each other) after getting out of school on the last day.

Our gang thrilled to proclaim it's summertime.

End of the first year of preschool

It's a little bittersweet for me. All my kids have been in this beginner class, at this preschool with these teachers. And now these are my last kiddos to be here. Carter and Anna had a fantastic year. They love school, the teachers, their friends, every aspect of it.

Carter and his best bud.

Anna and her "best" friend. It's been wonderful watching Anna develop a friendship with this little girl. It's nice for her to have her own friend, other than her brother or Callie's friends. And I really enjoy this little girl and her family.

Callie and Jack have one more week and then we are officially on summer break. Pool opens in 6 days and our summer life begins.

We cordially invite you to......

Our version of the Royal wedding. As much as I love my kiddos, it just wasn't the same. Anna is a cute little girl, but Kate is probably the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. And the royal couple was stunning. But we had a great time playing dress up English royalty.

5 minutes in the life of Anna and Carter

So while I was cleaning up from lunch, I looked over and saw this. I thought, how sweet, Anna sharing her princess music player with Carter.
So I went back to cleaning, and in mere minutes, sweet Anna was tackling Carter and trying to grab his flashlight but he was not going to let go.

Apologies and kisses. All in a matter of minutes.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year. Since Easter was in March last year, this was Anna's first easter. She loved every minute of it.

The baby bunnies.

My girlfriend made these for us. We actually didn't eat them until the next day because the kids wanted to keep them "pretty." But they were as super yummy as they were beautiful.

Easter morning going through baskets. The kids got all outdoor things, bubbles, chalk, kites. Which I have to say is not the most fun to get when your in the middle of endless days of rain. It has rained every day for as long as I can think back. I guess the easter bunny hadn't planned on such a wet spring! But, they were thrilled anyway and ate plenty of candy to make up for it.

Three little bunnies. My other one wasn't so willing to put on bunny ears.

Due to the pouring rain and floods outside, we had to hunt for eggs inside. But no one complained and they were as happy as pie.

Happy Easter from our crew!
