Gingerbread Houses

A big sugar buzz was had by all, and a lot of fun.

Gardenland Express 2011

I took the little one's to the Missouri Botanical Garden this morning to see the Christmas display. It was amazing and the kids loved the trains, the colors, the I-spy game. Considering the pouring rain outside, it was a beautiful place to spend our morning.

Ohio Christmas in Pictures

We went to Ohio this weekend to celebrate Christmas with Brian's family. We had a wonderful time. It's always nice to see and visit with everyone and my kiddos love seeing their family and spending time with their cousins.

Grandma Bea loves the girls. Anna does so well interacting and sharing with her.

Callie and her cousin Morgan.

All the kids pre present opening. It kind of got a bit crazy after that and fun was had by all. Thank you Ullery's for everything. My kiddos are truly loved (and spoiled!)

Ordinary Tuesday

We created the St. Louis Zoo. Anna set up the animals around the track and they played zoo for quite a while.

On to Christmas cookie baking for our neighbors.

We love our Tuesday mornings.

Homemade Christmas Cards

I love watercolor paint. It's so beautiful and you don't have to be an artist, the colors are amazing no matter what you put on the paper. The kids started with doing a lot of painting.

We let them all dry and then cut them into Christmas trees and glued them on colored construction paper. They decorated them with glitter glue.

We let that dry overnight and wrote our greetings. Such a great way to let the little one's practice writing.

And now their teachers will have these cute cards that we had a fun time making.

Oreo brownines

The first time I made these, we were instantly addicted. Anytime I make a meal for a family, or have people over with kids, I make these brownies and everyone loves them. And the best part folks. They are the easiest. dessert. ever. I really don't want to be sharing this little secret but I decided to spread the joy. It is the Christmas season afterall.

Oreo Brownies
1 box family size brownie mix
1 16oz. tub of vanilla icing
1 package mini oreos

Bake brownies according to directions on box and cool. Spread vanilla icing over the top. Crush mini oreos and dump entire bag on top of icing and spread out. Seriously- that's it. And if this is not enough sugar for you, you can always add a little ice cream.

Thank goodness I have a batch waiting for me after dinner, unless I can sneak a bite in without the kids looking.
Oh so yummy!
